2024-04-18

Equinox  is pleased to announce that Gustaf B. Skar and Jessica Early are taking over from Jill Jeffery as the Editors-in-Chief of Writing & Pedagogy, effective as of March 1, 2024.

Gustaf B. Skar is affiliated with Norwegian University of Science and Technology, in Trondheim, Norway. Professor Skar is a literacy researcher focusing mostly on writing instruction and assessment.

Jessica Early is affiliated with Arizona State University, in Tempe, Arizona in the United States. Professor Early is a writing researcher focusing on secondary and upper secondary writing instruction.

The new Editors-in-chief wish for Writing & Pedagogy to continue to be an important outlet for research on writing across educational levels, including primary, secondary, tertiary, and beyond. WAP has a strong track record as an international outlet for high quality papers from across the globe. The new editors wish to extend this track record and increase the proportion of mixed-methods and quantitative investigations presented in the journal. The editors’ aspiration is that Writing & Pedagogy will include publications across a wide span of research traditions.

Equinox is deeply grateful to Professor Jill Jeffery for her leadership and hard work, and we are excited for Professors Skar and Early to follow her success as the new Editors-in-Chief, and ensure that the journal continues to thrive.

The journal publishes three issues per volume year, and welcomes proposals for guest-edited special issues.
