Associate Professor Christina DeCoursey did her PhD at the University of Toronto, and her post-doctoral fellowship at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, D.C. She was Director of Writing Programs at the American University in Bulgaria and headed the Arthur Samy Language Learning Centre at the Hong Kong Institute of Education. She founded and ran the Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s MA in English Language Arts, and served as Chair of the Department of English Linguistics and Translation at the American University of Science and Technology in Beirut, Lebanon. Currently based at Nazarbayev University in Astana, Kazakhstan, her current research focuses on healthcare communication.
