Abstract

William Woys Weaver is a writer and food historian living in Chester County's old Lamb Tavern, which operated between 1812 and 1865 in Devon, Pennsylvania. His new edition of Elizabeth Lea's Domestic Cookery (Baltimore, 1845) will be published by the University of Pennsylvania Press later this year.
