Abstract

The author recounts the results of his recreation of two chutneys that he made by backtracking from the data divulged on a commercial product label and attempt to re-create a similar product.

    Philip Iddison is a civil engineer and an allotment-holder in Twickenham. His allotment diaries are a record of back-breaking toil and will be published in the next volume of proceedings from the Oxford Symposium.
