Abstract

This photoessay documents oka weights, dished circular weights for use in markets in Greece. The Greek oka was standardized at 1.282 kg and remained in use until traditional units were abolished on 31 March 1959 but use continued into the metric era. An example is used to illustrate the cover of this issue of PPC.
