Abstract

The author examines some of the recipes from a family compilation which reflects the lifestyle of a well-off middle class family in Victorian Britain.

  • John Burman, Independent Scholar

    John Burman is a retired general surgeon with a life-long interest in inland waterways. He has been writing poetry (verse) for many years and indulges in vanity publications as well as having some verse published.
