My previous article on Kavac?k Pazar (in PPC 125) focused on my food experiences in and around a village on the Asian side of the Bosporus and its weekly open market. This was only part of my culinary education in Turkey from 1986 to 1988. Living in Istanbul for 32 months, combined with our travels around Turkey, provided a rewarding stream of new food experiences.
