  • Judith Bernanke, Massey University

    Judith Bernanke lectures in the Department of Communication, Journalism, and Marketing at Massey University at Wellington, New Zealand. Her essay “Howard Shore’s Ring Cycle: The Film Score and Operatic Strategy” has been published in Studying the Event Film: “The Lord of the Rings” (Manchester University Press, 2008). She has also composed and performed the music for the short film Hammond’s Arcana, or the Paradise of Birds (Struan Ashby and Roy Parkhurst, 2007, in Wellington). Her current research project is a study of arts journalism within the New Zealand context.
