Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- Where available, URLs and DOIs for the references have been provided.
- The submission does not contain copyrighted material. It has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The paper conforms to our statement of ethics regarding archaeological excavations conducted in areas of conflict.
- The submission should be under 20 MB. If not, the paper will be returned to the author for changes. Usually, the trouble is in the figure files. It's important that both reviewers and editors can easily download the submission without clogging up their bandwidth.
