  • Fred Dervin, University of Helsinki

    Fred Dervin is Professor of Multicultural Education at the University of Helsinki (Finland). He has written extensively about interculturality in (teacher) education, proposing to systematise the use of critical and reflexive perspectives. His book Interculturality in Education (Palgrave, 2016) has contributed to opening up new research vistas on intercultural encounters.

  • Mei Yuan, Minzu University of China

    Mei Yuan is an Associate Professor at the School of Education, Minzu University of China. She has led many research projects on Minzu and intercultural education and is the recipient of many awards for her contributions to ‘minority’ education. She is the author with Fred Dervin of Revitalizing Interculturality in Education: Chinese Minzu as a Companion (Routledge, 2021).
