    Mayara da Silva Neto holds a BA in Letters (Portuguese and Italian) and a Master (Italian) from the University of São Paulo. She is currently a PhD student in the Postgraduate Program in Italian Language, Literature and Culture at the University of São Paulo and is carrying out a research on the intonation aspects of orders and requests in Portuguese and Italian. She is a member of the research group Pragmática (inter)linguística, cross-cultural e intercultural at the University of São Paulo since 2013 and joined the journal Revista de Italianística as assistant editor, at the same university, in 2021.
