Symposia in Turkey and Spain

Abstract

Two essays are here combined, since the themes are almost identical. Claudia Roden describes the scope and published documentation of the Symposia held at Konya in Turkey; and Alan Davidson summarises the contents of the book which embodies the proceedings of three Symposium type events held in 1981 and 1982 by the Universidad lnternacional Menendez y Pelayo in the north of Spain.
