Abstract

The author examines Manuscript 3558 in the Nuruosmaniye Library, Istanbul (which consists of the tenth-century recipe collection Kitab al-Tabikh followed by an appendix of 94 culinary recipes, together with three for perfume) and draws some conclusions regarding dating and provenance.
