Author Biography

  • Conor Power, Maynooth University

    Conor Power is a Teaching Fellow in Music Theory and Performance at the School of Music in University College Dublin. His PhD thesis, completed at Maynooth University, focused on John Williams’s American film scores, particularly their stylistic heritage and ideological resonances. He has published further articles on the music of Williams with Émergences and Cuadernos de Investigación Musical. Conor is also interested in public musicology, and has been interviewed by The Journal and the BBC, written for RTÉ Brainstorm, and lectured at the Irish Film Institute.
