Author Biography

  • Hannah Lewis, University of Texas at Austin

    Hannah Lewis is Assistant Professor of Musicology at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research focuses on film music, music and visual media, early twentieth-century French music, and musical theater. She is the author of French Musical Culture and the Coming of Sound Cinema (2019), and co-editor (with James Buhler) of the forthcoming collection Voicing the Cinema: Film Music and the Integrated Soundtrack. She is currently working on a new book titled Rodgers and Hammerstein On Screen.
