  • Purushottama Bilimoria, University of California, Berkeley
    Purushottama Bilimoria, PhD is Honorary Associate Professor in Philosophy at Deakin University, and Honorary Fellow, University of Melbourne, Australia; and Visiting Professor and Lecturer at University of California, Berkeley. He has held teaching positions and research fellowships in Oxford, Harvard, Emory, Columbia, and Stony Brook Universities, and was Distinguished Visiting Indian Philosopher in leading Brazilian universities and in The Indian Institute of Advanced Studies in Shimla, 2012. His research and publications cover classical Indian philosophy; comparative ethics; Continental thought; cross-cultural philosophy of religion; testimony; emotions; bioethics, religion and Indian law. He is an Editor-in-Chief of Sophia, Journal of Philosophy of Religion, Metaphysical Theology and Ethics; and co-editor of the Sophia Series in Cross-cultural Studies of Philosophy and Traditions (Springer).
