Abstract

David Powers’ has provided a response to Agostino Cilardo’s review article “The Adoption of Zayd and the Finality of the Islamic Prophec,” in CIS issue (11.1, 2015, pp. 109–120).

Author Biography

  • David S Powers, Cornell University

    David S. Powers is a Professor of Near Eastern Studies at Cornell, a position he has held since 1979. His courses deal with Islamic civilization, Islamic history and law, and classical Arabic texts. His research focuses on the emergence of Islam and Islamic legal history.
