Lynn F. Baynum, Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania

Lynn F. Baynum (Ph.D. Marywood University) is an Associate Professor of Reading/Literacy in the Teacher Education Department in the College of Education and Human Services at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in reading and PK4 certification areas. She has co authored (with E. McNamee and R. Morris) Literacy and Literature: Integrating Comprehension, Fluency and Vocabulary Lessons with High Quality Children’s Literature (Kendall-Hunt, 2008). Her research interests include: integrating technology in digital composition, incorporating best practice= literacy strategies within a gradual release of responsibilities, evaluating teacher prompting to scaffold readers and writers, and teaching young writers.
