Author Biography

  • Ludmila Stern, University of New South Wales
    A/Prof Ludmila Stern is the Deputy Head of the School of Langauges and Linguistics and the Coordinator of the MA in Interpreting and Translation at UNSW (Sydney, Australia). Her research area covers interpreting practices during war crimes trials in national and international courts, such as the Australian War Crimes Prosecutions, the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and the International Criminal Court. Her historical research examines interwar relations between Soviet organizations (eg., Comintern, VOKS, Soviet Writers’ Union) and western intellectuals includes the monograph, Western Intellectuals and the Soviet Union, 1920-40.
