  • Hector Avalos, Iowa State University

    Hector Avalos is Professor of Religious Studies at Iowa State University and a widely-read advocate of humanism. He received his PhD from Harvard University (1991) and is the author of numerous articles and books, including Fighting Words: The Origins of Religious Violence (2005).
