Call for papers for a special issue on Religion & Gender

Male domination-- both in terms of researchers as well as in studies themselves -- has ignored or distorted research by and about women in the psychology and cognitive science of religion. The field is in need of feminist or simply gender-critical approaches to research which will lead to insights that are currently un(der)investigated. For this special issue of the Journal for the Cognitive Science of Religion, papers are invited to contribute to tackling both issues of androcentric study: the under- or misrepresentation of female scholars in CSR, and CSR research of women and their roles, positions, and representations in religion.

Journal for the Cognitive Science of Religion is the official journal of the International Association for the Cognitive Science of Religion (IACSR). The Association was founded in 2006 and since then has sponsored a number of international collaborative projects and biennial conferences.
